However, I learned fairly quickly the key to windy conditions is all about pole placement and a lot of sand in the bags. This is literally a sail and if you place your poles closer towards the edge of the fabric and with a lot of weight from the sand you can allow the wind to work for you. You also don’t need all four poles in gusty conditions. We had two working in the front facing the wind and the wind did the rest lifting the back of the tent parachute style. Now if this material deteriorates then all bets are off.
