I’m a female and I did this by myself in about an hour with distractions from my 4-year old. The bike is exceptionally well packaged and the parts are clearly labeled.
As for the bike itself. It’s near silent. Only a slight rubbing noise when you increase the resistance. The seat was very uncomfortable initially and I was worried I would be able to last longer than a few minutes. It’s that hard toward the narrow end but I adjusted the seat to point down and problem solved!
The iPad holder is pretty cheap and just snaps on. I don’t think I would actually trust my phone or iPad in this holder.
The monitor is also VERY basic. I don’t see a way to enter in my stats so the calorie count is pretty much useless but if you have a fitness watch or monitor than it’s no big deal and at least there is the distance tracker.
The slider adjustment on the seat is so slight that it’s not even worth adjusting. The seat only moves back and forward an inch so I don’t really see the point.
I feel hopeful about this bike. I did a brief test ride while adjusting the resistance between easy and hard and alternating between sitting and standing positions. After only 5 minutes I was breaking a sweat so I feel that this bike is a keeper.
I have two teenagers that also want to use it so it’s going to get more than normal wear and tear and I’m hoping it will hold up to the abuse.
Also. A note regarding maneuverability. I don’t plan to move this bike all over the place. I pretty much have a set location for it, but I did wheel it out of the way to lay the equipment mat down.
The maneuverability is awkward and rigid. The bike is heavy which makes it hard to raise without the wheels rolling away from you when you go to raise the back as well as challenging when your trying to prevent the raised end from slamming on the ground when you go to lower it. The wheels only turn in one direction (front and back) and not side to side so if you’re trying to maneuver within a small space, you’re going to find yourself in a situation where you need to do a lot of slight forward and back movements to get the bike to face a different direction.
Hope this helps everyone!
